Taj Mahal, the 'Epitome of Love', is the single
most-popular tourist destination of the Indian subcontinent. Built by
Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, the monument represents the personification
of the love of a man for his wife. It is counted amongst the 'Seven
Wonders of the World' and is also a 'UNESCO World Heritage Site'. While
on a Taj Mahal travel package, you will only see the radiant Taj of
India, but also other world heritage sites in and around the ancient
Agra city. It's going to be one whirlwind of a tour, encompassing all
famous forts, palaces, temples and religious sites on its way.
Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
After you arrive at the Delhi International airport, you will be
received by our representative. This particular airport is amongst the
major ones in India and is well connected to all other destinations
across the world. From here, you will be escorted to the hotel. You will
check in and rest for the night.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
You will travel through Old Delhi, where you will see ancient edifices
like the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. Then, roam the colorful markets
of Chandni Chowk. The second half of the day can be spent exploring New
Delhi, where you can see the India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, Parliament
House and the Qutab Minar, among other places. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
Pack your luggage, because you will leave for the pink city of
Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur today. You will be transferred to the Delhi
railway station, from where you board the train to your destination.
Once in Jaipur, you check in at the hotel and rest for a while. In the
afternoon, you will leave for a sightseeing tour during which you see
the Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, et al. You can also attend Rajasthani
folk music show in the late evening. You will have dinner and rest at
the hotel at night.
Day 04: Jaipur- Bikaner
You will check out of your hotel early in the morning to reach Bikaner.
Located 321 kms away from Jaipur, it will take you approximately 5 hours
to reach there. You start the tour of this ancient city post lunch. You
first see the impressive Lalgarh Palace constructed in red sandstone and
situated 3 kms from the city. The Junagarh Fort, Bhandeshwar Jain
Temples, Devi Kund and Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary and Palace are some
other interesting places you can see here. You spend the night at the
hotel.
Day 05: Bikaner - Jaisalmer
You head for Jaisalmer today located about 333 kms away. You depart
early, have breakfast en-route and reach Jaisalmer by afternoon. You
take a Camel safari ride to explore the small and big villages
splattered across the deserts of Rajasthan. You will find men and women
dressed up in their traditional garb on the journey. You return to the
hotel late in the evening. Taste rich Rajasthani cuisine and rest for
the night in your hotel room.
Day 06: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur
This morning, you leave for another heritage city of Rajasthan i.e.
Jodhpur and it's approximately a four and a half hours' journey. After
lunch, you visit the Mehrangarh Fort. You spend the night at a camp in
the desert, under the beautiful open starlit sky. You have your supper
here in the late evening.
Day 07: Jodhpur- Jaipur
You head back to Jaipur today. After you check in at the hotel, spend
the day leisurely at your own pace. Explore the local markets or do some
more sightseeing of ancient forts and palaces. Night is spent at the
hotel.
Day 08: Jaipur- Agra
You head for the historic city of Agra today. Check in at the hotel
here and have some rest. Agra is situated on the banks of the river
Yamuna. It is believed that Sultan Sikandar Lodi, the Ruler of Delhi
Sultanate founded it in the year 1504. Taj Mahal here is among the most
famous monuments in the world and was constructed by Shah Jahan for his
beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the 7 Wonders of the World and
also among the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Agra. The other two
are the Agra Fort and the Fatehpur Sikri. Tourists from all over the
world come here for heritage travel. Apart from seeing these, you can
also see Itmad-Ud-Daulah's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Chini Ka Rauza, Ram Bagh
and other hot tourist spots at Agra. Overnight stay is at the hotel.
Day 09: Agra - Mathura - Vrindavan
You reach Mathura today, which is situated 60 kms from Agra. Here, you
visit the famous Shri Krishna Janma Bhoomi and the Dwarkadheesh temple.
Thereafter, you proceed for Vrindavan. After seeing the ISKCON temple in
this holy city, you return to Agra by late evening. You spend the night
at the hotel.
Day 10: Agra- Delhi
You head back to Delhi today. Pack your luggage so that later during
the day, you can board your return flight back home.
