Leh happens to be a popular destination for tourists
visiting the Ladakh region of India. The most eye-catching structure you
will see here is the now ruined Leh Palace, which used to be the home of
the royal family of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 3,650, the
mountainous terrain of Leh also offers ample scope for adventure
activities like river rafting, mountaineering and trekking. This is

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
You will be received by our representative upon your arrival at the
Delhi international airport. Thereafter, you will be escorted for check
in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Delhi is a tourist's paradise. You get to see varied facets of India
here from world class hotels, malls and discos to historic fortresses,
museums and palaces. The must visit tourists spots in Delhi are Red
Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb, Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, India
Gate, Parliament House, Connaught Place and so on. You spend the night
in your hotel room.
Day 03: Delhi - Leh
Today, you take the early morning flight to picturesque Leh town in the
Ladakh valley. After arrival at the Leh airport, you will be escorted to
your hotel. After you have your siesta, you can go out for brief tour of
the Leh Bazaar (market). You stay the night at the hotel.
Day 04: Leh Sightseeing
Start for half day tour of Spituk and Phyang Monastery by jeep. At the
time of lunch, you will return back to the hotel. In the afternoon,
visit Kings Palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa, and Leh Bazar by foot. Spend
the night in the hotel.
Day 05: Leh - Khardongla Pass - Leh
You will go for excursion to Khardongla Pass after you have had a
hearty breakfast. Situated at a height of 5600 metres, the Khardongla
Pass is famous for being the highest motorable pass in the world. You
get back to your hotel by evening and spend the night there.
Day 06: Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh
You leave to see the famous blue-brackish lake of Pangong in the
northeast of Leh. While you do this, you also pass through the Changla
pass located at 5,486 metres. You then halt for lunch at Tsoltak, which
is a pasture land for the yaks. You then arrive at Durbak, from where a
short drive will take you to the peaceful hamlet of Lukung. A drive
further will take you to Spangmik, which is the final point till where
tourists are allowed to go. You return to Leh late in the evening and
rest overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Leh - Sarchu
You reach Sarchu via the Upshi village that also acts as a junction on
the Leh-Manali Highway. While doing this, you get to cross the second
highest motorable pass in world, Taglangla Pass. Then you stop at Pang
for lunch and continue driving further to the Lachungla pass located at
5,065 metres. On finally reaching Sarchu, you spend the night in a tent.
Day 08: Sarchu - Jispa - Manali
Sarchu falls in the border area between the Indian states of Jammu &
Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. So, just 20 kms drive from here will take
you to Himachal Pradesh. You reach the Baralachala pass, situated at a
height of 4,883 metres. You will visit Surajtal Lake and then after
Rumtze, progress towards Darcha. After reaching Khoksar, you will go via
the Rohtang pass that has an altitude of 3,978 m. Thereafter, you arrive
at Manali, where you spend the night at the hotel.
Day 09: Manali Sightseeing
In the morning, you will visit the 400 year-old Pagoda Temple of
Hadimba Devi and then the Manu temple located in Old Manali. The
Vaishisht hot sulphur spring bath will be your next destination. You
spend the night at the hotel.
Day 10: Manali - Shimla
You traverse through the lovely hill terrain to reach Shimla (Simla). A
popular hill station, Shimla was the former summer capital of the
British during the pre-independence era. You check in on arrival and
spend the night at the hotel.
Day 11: Shimla Sightseeing
After having a sumptuous breakfast, take a leisurely stroll through the
Mall Road in Shimla. Soak in the local sights and flavors. Must-see
tourist spots of the hill station include the church and the town hall.
You can opt for a joy ride in the famous toy train of Shimla, till
Kathleeghat station and back. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Shimla - Delhi
After breakfast, you will leave for Delhi. From Delhi international
airport, you will take a flight to your home or to your next
destination.
