Day 01: Bangalore - Mysore
After you arrive at Bangalore, you will be met by our representatives
and driven down to Mysore, about 3 hours away. Check into the hotel on
arrival. Thereafter, you go on a brief sightseeing tour in the evening.
Night will be spent at the hotel.
Day 02: Mysore - Nagarhole National Park
You drive down to Nagarhole National Park, also called the Rajiv Gandhi
National Park, in the morning. It is situated between Mysore and Coorg.
A beautiful national park, it has lush forest belt, small streams,
valleys and waterfalls. You can expect to see mammals like Elephant,
Jackal, Tiger, Panther, Gaur, Muntjac, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Hyena, etc.
Important trees found in this park are Rosewood, Teak, Sandalwood and
Silver Oak. You can take a brief jeep safari tour of the Nagarhole
National Park. Spend the evening leisurely and stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 03: Nagarhole National Park
Today, you go on a comprehensive tour of the Nagarhole National Park.
Main adventure activities include jeep safari, boat ride, trekking
through the thick green belt and so on. You return to the hotel in the
evening, have dinner and rest in the hotel room for the night.
Day 04: Nagarhole - Coorg
You drive down to Coorg (Kodagu), about 2 hours from Nagarhole, in the
morning. On arrival, you will check in at the hotel. Coorg is rich in
wildlife and boasts of having three wildlife sanctuaries - Brahmagiri
Wildlife Sanctuary, Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary and Pushpagiri
Wildlife Sanctuary. The dense green cover in these areas is home to
animals like Elephant, Gaur, Deer, Leopard, and so on. After a tour of
this scenic hill station, you retire to your hotel room for night stay.
Day 05: Coorg - Calicut
You arrive at Calicut today. On arrival, check in at the hotel and
spend the rest of the day leisurely. Overnight stay will be at the hotel
only.
Day 06: Calicut Sightseeing (Kadavu)
Kadavu is a tropical forest situated in Calicut. It's almost like a
paradise for nature lovers, embodying river Chaliyar, rich flora, fauna,
green paddy fields, waterfalls and mountain ranges. You can explore the
natural surroundings of Kadavu, take backwater cruises or watch the
marvelous Theyyam, Kalaripattyu and other local art forms here, held
during temple festivals between October and March. Night stay will be at
the hotel.
Day 07: Calicut - Cochin
In the morning, you will leave for the Cochin city and on arrival, you
will check-in at the hotel. Rest a bit and leave for a brief tour of the
enchanting port city. Night stay is at the hotel.
Day 08: Cochin - Periyar
You leave Cochin to reach Periyar today. After you check in at the
hotel, briefly tour around Periyar. Take a ferry ride across the famous
Lake Periyar in the afternoon. Have dinner and rest at the hotel
overnight.
Day 9: Periyar Sightseeing
You tour the Periyar National Park today. A major portion of this
protected region is covered with dense evergreen or semi-evergreen rain
forests. Here, you will find very tall tropical tree species like
Vateria indica, Cullenia exarillata, etc. This park is home to
approximately 62 types of mammals, including many threatened ones like
Gaur, Sambar, Barking Deer, Leopard, and so on. Night stay will be at
the hotel.
Day 10: Periyar - Kumarakom
You drive down to Kumarakom today. Check-in at the resort on arrival.
Take a cruise across the backwaters during sunset. Overnight is at the
hotel.
Day 11: Kumarakom - Alleppey - Marari Beach Resort
In the morning, you take a backwater boat cruise passing through narrow
canals to Alleppey. Total duration of the cruise will be about two and a
half hours. When you reach Alleppey, you will be transferred by car to
the Marari beach resort.
Day 12: Marari Beach Sightseeing
You head for the Marari beach today, situated near Allepey. The beach
takes its name from the place of its origination i.e. Mararikulam, a
serene little fishing village. Popular tourist activities here include
taking cruises on the backwaters, visits to traditional coir-making
units, lazing around in the sun, indulging in exciting water sports,
swimming in the pellucid waters or even playing a game of beach
volleyball. You retire to your hotel room and rest for the night there.
Day 13: Marari - Cochin
In the morning, you leave the resort for Cochin City. From there, you
will board the plane to your destination.
